West Commerce/Fort Worth Avenue Corridor Supplemental Improvement Grant Program

Program Description

The Fort Worth Avenue Development Group has designed this program to inspire projects that preserve and enhance facades, landscaping and the overall appearance of structures located along the West Commerce/Fort Worth Avenue corridor (from the Trinity River to Westmoreland).

Our goal is to offer guidance and financial assistance to businesses located along the corridor who wish to help us upgrade the appearance of the boulevard.

Please note:

  • The grants will range from $500 to 2,000.
  • The grants approved and the amounts awarded will be at the sole discretion of the Grant Committee of the Fort Worth Avenue Development Group. The decisions of the Grant Committee are final.
  • The actual grant may be for less than the full amount you request, and application to this program does not guarantee the receipt of a grant.
  • We will award grants on a first-come, first served basis until the program’s funds have been exhausted.
  • Applicants will receive word from the Fort Worth Avenue Development Group regarding their request for a grant within 60 days of our receipt of an application.
  • Grant money will be paid only to the vendor/contractors of projects (preferred) or appropriate principals of a business with project-specific, paid receipts.
  • The projects for which the FWADG bestows its grants should be attainable within one year (12 months).
  • Grants not used within 24 months will be forfeited.

Criteria

  • Only members of the Fort Worth Avenue Development Group who possess at least a Donor Level membership (minimum of $100 per year) are eligible for grants.
    Purchase Membership
  • The total cost of an eligiable upgrade project must be over $1,000. (Grant awards will range between $500 and $2,000 per project).
  • A grant bestowed by the Fort Worth Avenue Development Group can not be the major source of funds for the upgrade project.
